Eligibility: -Students with a relevant degree in natural sciences, medicine, pharmacy, engineering or other suitable background, and who aim at a doctoral degree are eligible to apply.

Scholarship Description: FPDP is a network-type doctoral programme that organizes doctoral training in drug research in Finland at the University of Helsinki (responsible for finances and administration), the Universities of Eastern Finland, Jyväskylä, Oulu, Tampere and Turku and Åbo Akademi University. In addition, FPDP has close collaboration with the Finnish Medicines Agency (Fimea), the Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT) and several pharmaceutical companies. FPDP consists of four sections: Clinical Drug Research, Drug Discovery, Pharmacy and Toxicology. FPDP supports doctoral training in high-quality research groups and gives its students a broad understanding of drug development process, including research on basic and clinical pharmacology, drug discovery, pharmaceutical sciences, toxicology and the rational use of pharmaceuticals
