Eligibility:Eligibility for a postgraduate education including PhD studies requires that the student has completed an advanced degree covering 240hp credits, with at least 60hp credits obtainded at the advanced level, or that the student has achieved a corresponding competence in Sweden or abroad.

Scholarship Description: The PhD position is oriented towards the research fields of numerical methods for parabolic equations and mathematical modeling of industrial and medical applications. We are currently building a research group in the intersection of these fields and the position will constitute an important part of this development. Your own research will initially focus on the design and analysis of new numerical methods for phase field models. Such models are found in a wide range of applications, for example, when modeling stress corrosion and the growth of biofilms. Collaborations with other research fields will also be part of the project.
